The Chase Foundation is pleased to announce the 2024 Chase Foundation Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors of Artesia High School. The 2024 graduating class will be the 17th class eligible to receive the Chase Scholarships for the purpose of realizing educational goals and dreams as these seniors become our future leaders in building stronger families and communities.
The initial funding for the Chase Scholarships began in 2007 with Mack and Marilyn and members of the Chase Family pledging $1.3 Million dollars to the first scholarship recipients in the Chase Scholarship Program. Over the next 17 years the family has pledged an additional $22 million dollars to the scholarship program for graduating seniors.
The Chase Family recognizes the need to educate our youth and provide educational opportunities to improve the quality of life for future generations. This opportunity will afford students additional resources to pursue a college education with the goal of obtaining a college degree. The mission of this scholarship program is to increase student graduation rates, provide student resources, establish partnership programs with higher education institutions, provide family affordable college and to provide continual encouragement and support for students throughout their education process. The Chase Family is very intent in their desire to see youth expand their educational opportunities and graduate with a college degree.
The significance of this scholarship program is the ability for eligible students to attend a school of their choice and potentially graduate with little to no debt. Scholars who choose to attend a partner school have an even greater opportunity for funding, and those that choose a New Mexico college or university and have a significant portion of their college education paid for through the Chase Scholarship, New Mexico Lottery and additional scholarship funds available from our N.M. partner schools.
These partnerships the Chase Foundation has developed with schools both in New Mexico and across Texas, will strengthen the ability of students to obtain their educational degree and provide college affordability to families. Eligible Chase Scholars may attend any accredited college or university in the United States.
The Chase Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for AHS students. A number of factors will be used in awarding the scholarship. These include but not limited to, GPA, Dual Credits, ACT Scores, AP Courses, School Activities, Community Service, Work Experience and Years Attended Artesia Public Schools.
Additionally, the Chase Scholarship Program has partnered with a number of New Mexico and West Texas colleges and universities to provide additional scholarship funds for those students receiving the Chase Scholarship.
